Die Reihe "Top Secret" gefällt mir wirklich außerordentlich gut!!! Von Agenten-Geschichten war ich immer schon fasziniert, aber das hier eröffnet völlig neue Dimensionen. Ich bin ganz ehrlich: Mit meinen fast 44 Jahren zähle ich mit Sicherheit nicht zu der genannten Zielgruppe, jedoch lese ich die Top Secret-Bücher mit großer und wachsender Begeisterung, und darüber hinaus noch etwas: Ich schäme mich noch nicht einmal dafür (Lach). Die Stories haben einen pädagogisch wertvollen Hintergrund: Kinder, die ihre Eltern verloren haben oder von genau diesen, beispielsweise, verstoßen wurden, bekommen bei CHERUB die ganz große Chance, ihr Leben entsprechend zu formen und zu gestalten. Würde es diesen Geheimdienst tatsächlich geben, dann hätten wir auf dieser Erde nicht annähernd so viele lustlose und gewalttätige Jugendliche. Dieses Szenario ist schon äußerst interessant, meines Erachtens nach alles andere als unrealistisch, ja: Es könnte tatsächlich wahr sein!!! Was die einzelnen Bände anbelangt: Die jeweilige Story wird immer spannend und auch intelligent umgesetzt, bei jeder Fortsetzung muß ich eine permanente Steigerung feststellen. Bis jetzt (ich bin mittlerweile bei Band 8) konnte ich keinen einzigen Aussetzer verzeichnen. Meine Empfehlung (vor allem an Eltern von Teenagern): Unbedingt probieren und auch kaufen, diese Geschichten stellen jedes "tolle" Computerspiel in den Schatten. Der Autor, Robert Muchamore, könnte es tatsächlich schaffen, daß sich sehr viele junge Menschen wieder für das "banale Lesen" von Büchern interessieren, so wie es halt in meiner Jugend Standard war. Hervorragend, nur weiter so!!!!!!

Das Sechste Buch der Top Secret Reihe habe ich wieder verschlungen. Das Buch ist wie alle anderen auch gut geschrieben, doch mich stellt sich da eine Frage:Wann kommt endlich die Verfilmung der Reihe?

Die Bücher aus der "Top Secret-Reine" sind alle sehr spannend und leicht zu lesen. Als kleines Geschenk für Kinder ab 10 Jahre ideal!

Da mein Sohn die vorherigen Bände schon kannte, war dieses Buch erwartungsgemäß ebenfalls spannend und wurde schnellstens verschlungen. Das Buch wurde zügig geliefert und war in einem top Zustand.

Gute Geschichte, gut geschrieben, gutes Buch!Die Buchreihe ist spannend und lebendig geschrieben und sollte auf jeden Fall gelesen werden.

Mein Sohn hatte schon die anderen 5 Teile von Top-Secret gelesen und sich den Fortsetzungsband gewünscht. Für seine Altersklasse (13 Jahre) ist diese "Krimi-Serie" spannend und interessant.

Dieses Buch ist einfach klasse!!!!Ich habe es in 2 Stunden verschlungen und bin begeistert! Ich finde das es bis jetzt das Beste Buch wahr denn es wahr nicht so absehbar wie die anderen BücherIch hoffe das die Bücher Reihe so weiter geht alle Daumen hoch für dieses Buch 🙌🙌

Synopsis

Following the abolition of slavery in the Caribbean, a concerted effort was made to replace enslaved labor with indentured Indian labor, and this book recounts the story of one woman's tragic experience in trying to immigrate to the Caribbean in the nineteenth century. The book combines documentary evidence with a surrounding narrative interpretation in order to highlight the experiences of the young Indian woman, Maharani, who was allegedly raped and died subsequently on board the ship Allanshaw that sailed from Calcutta to colonial Guyana in 1885. The work sheds light on the general history of bonded labor migration as well as "sexploitation." Maharani's death gave rise to an extraordinary nine-day investigation involving some twenty-two witnesses, including some of the emigrants themselves. By making use of the emigrants' depositions, the book projects the voice of the indentured servants from India on their long voyage to the Caribbean. The events on this passage from India provide further evidence that 19th-century labor "migration" replicated several aspects of the middle passage of enslaved Africans, although it never reached slavery's brutal limits.

I have read this book and found it brilliant the research was very detailed and the story was amazing, I would recommend this book to any one that is curious about the Indented Labourers from India.The author has written this story very unbiased and I was very impressed with the records and documents she was able to reproduce.I have never written a recommendation but felt compelled to do one for this book, in one word 'EXCELLENT'.Thanks for bringing us Maharani's and the Allanshaw's history.

This is an example of jumping out of the pot into the fire. Maharani hoped to escape from a life of abuse but received an even worse fate-death.
