Das Buch ist sehr bewegend, zeigt das Leben eines Kindes/Teenagers einer sozialen Klasse, die mir persönlich völlig unbekannt ist.Ich hoffe, dass es bald auch eine deutsche Übersetzung geben wird für nicht-englischsprachige Leser.Selten hat mich ein Buch so ergriffen.

The podcast Janey and her daughter Ashley do led me to this book. I love their braveness, brashness, and intelligence - but I never imagined what they had to endure, to become like that. Thankyou to Janey and Ashley both for reminding me what courage looks like when it's not wearing Spandex.(Now I'm going to sleep, because I stayed up til 4a.m. reading and crying over Major the dog. )

This is a very good book. I am amazed at what people are capable of sometimes. I like to know what makes them do the things they do.

Decided to check out the book after watching geman movie "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" because i've heard many people saying that the book is better.The book is good in a sense that you get much more complete picture of motivation of Christiane, as well as her mother. The experience described in the book is varying from excitement of first true love to the disgust of shooting up heroin mixed with a water from the toilet.

This book is amazing. It goes so dramtically deep into the real story of a young drug addicted girl and tells so honestly what happend.5 Stars!
